1. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions:
- "Company", "we", "us", "our" refers to Kampong Finance Pte. Ltd., registered in Singapore.
- "Course" refers to any financial education course offered by Kampong Finance.
- "Participant", "you" refers to any individual who enrolls in or enquires about a Course.
- "Content" refers to all course materials, workbooks, templates, recordings, and other resources provided by the Company.
- "Agreement" refers to these Terms and Conditions, together with any enrolment confirmation.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By enrolling in a Course or submitting an enquiry through our website, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older, have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement, and accept these Terms and Conditions in full. If you do not accept these terms, do not proceed with enrolment.
3. Course Description and Availability
Kampong Finance offers financial education courses as described on our website. Courses are delivered online in a small-group format. The Company reserves the right to:
- Modify course content to reflect regulatory or market changes
- Reschedule sessions with reasonable notice to enrolled participants
- Cancel a cohort if minimum enrolment is not reached, with full refunds issued
- Substitute instructors where necessary while maintaining equivalent expertise
4. Enrolment and Accounts
Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of payment and a written confirmation from the Company. You are responsible for providing accurate contact details at the time of enrolment. Course access links, materials, and communications will be sent to the email address provided. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your course access credentials and may not share them with others.
5. Participant Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Attend sessions with respect for other participants and the instructor
- Not record, redistribute, or commercially use any session content or course materials
- Not share session links or access credentials with anyone who has not enrolled
- Use course materials for personal educational purposes only
- Refrain from conduct that disrupts the learning environment for other participants
6. Intellectual Property
All course content, workbooks, templates, slides, recordings, and other materials are the intellectual property of Kampong Finance Pte. Ltd. Upon enrolment, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use course materials for your own personal educational purposes during and after the course. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from course content without written permission from the Company.
7. Payment Terms
Course fees are as published on the website at the time of enrolment and are denominated in Singapore Dollars (SGD). Payment is due in full at the time of enrolment. Accepted payment methods include credit card, debit card, and bank transfer. The Company does not store payment card details.
Refund Policy
- Full refund is available if requested at least five business days before the first session of the enrolled cohort.
- After this point, no monetary refund is available, but participants may transfer their enrolment to the next available cohort of the same course at no additional cost.
- Cohort transfers must be requested before the third session of the enrolled cohort.
- If the Company cancels a cohort, a full refund will be issued within ten business days.
8. Course Completion and Certificates
A completion certificate is issued to participants who attend at least five of the scheduled live sessions for a seven-week course, four sessions for a six-week course, or six sessions for a nine-week course. Viewing session recordings counts toward this requirement where live attendance was not possible. Certificates are issued in digital format within five business days of the final session.
9. Disclaimers
Kampong Finance courses constitute financial education, not regulated financial advice. Nothing communicated in any course session or course material should be construed as:
- A recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any financial product
- Advice on any individual's specific financial situation
- A representation that any particular financial outcome will be achieved
Participants requiring personalised financial advice should consult a licensed financial adviser regulated by the Monetary Authority of Singapore. Courses are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind beyond what is expressly stated in course descriptions.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Singapore law, the Company's liability to any participant is limited to the course fee paid. The Company is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss or damage arising from participation in a course or use of course materials, even where such loss was foreseeable.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Company, its instructors, and its staff from any claim, loss, or expense arising from your breach of these Terms and Conditions or your use of course content in a manner inconsistent with the licence granted herein.
12. Termination
The Company reserves the right to remove a participant from a course cohort without refund if that participant engages in conduct that is disruptive, abusive, or in material breach of these Terms. Participants may withdraw from a course at any time, subject to the refund policy in Section 7.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Singapore. In the event of a dispute, the parties agree to first attempt to resolve the matter informally by written communication. If informal resolution is not achieved within 30 days, disputes will be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore. Mediation through the Singapore Mediation Centre may be used as an alternative to litigation where both parties agree.
14. General Provisions
- Entire Agreement: These Terms constitute the entire agreement between the Company and the participant with respect to course enrolment.
- Severability: If any provision is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
- Waiver: Failure to enforce any provision does not constitute a waiver of the right to do so in future.
- Assignment: You may not transfer your enrolment or rights under this agreement to another person.
- Notices: Notices from the Company will be sent to the email address provided at enrolment.
15. Changes to These Terms
The Company may revise these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on the website with a revised effective date. For enrolled participants, material changes will be communicated by email. Continued enrolment or use of course materials following a change constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
