Why learners choose us
A different kind of finance class
Local in every detail
All course material is built around Singapore — CPF, MediShield, SSBs, SGX-listed instruments. Nothing is translated from a foreign context.
Small groups only
Courses are capped at twelve participants so every learner can ask questions and receive individual attention from the instructor.
Workbooks you keep
Each course comes with a printed reference workbook. It stays with you after the course ends — a reference you can return to at your own pace.
No pressure, no rushing
The curriculum is paced for people with full lives. Sessions are held in the evening or on Saturday mornings, and recordings are available for enrolled participants.
Instructors with practice experience
Teaching is done by practitioners who have worked in Singapore financial services — not academics alone. Theory is always connected to real decisions.
Independent, unconflicted
Kampong Finance does not sell financial products. Instructors have no interest in directing participants toward any particular investment or provider.
Common questions
Things people often ask
Do I need any prior finance knowledge to enrol?
No prior knowledge is assumed. The household finance and retirement courses are written for complete beginners. The fixed income course moves a little faster but still begins from first principles — if you understand what a savings account is, you have enough to start.
How are the sessions delivered?
Sessions are held online via Zoom in small groups. Evening sessions run on weekday evenings; Saturday morning sessions are also available for most courses. Recordings are shared with enrolled participants within 24 hours of each session.
What is the refund policy if I cannot continue?
A full refund is available up to five days before a course begins. After that, participants may transfer their enrolment to the next available cohort at no additional charge. We handle each situation with care — please reach out directly if circumstances change.
Are these courses regulated or accredited?
Kampong Finance offers financial education, not regulated financial advice. Our courses are not MAS-licensed products and do not constitute investment advisory services. A completion certificate is issued at the end of each course, though this does not carry a formal accreditation body designation.
How large are the course groups?
Each cohort is capped at twelve participants. This keeps the atmosphere close enough for real conversation — people can raise personal questions without feeling exposed in a large audience.
When does the next cohort start?
New cohorts open each quarter. To find out when the next intake is available for the course you are interested in, send us an enquiry through the form below and we will follow up with current dates.
