Why Kampong Finance
What makes a difference, and why it matters
There are many ways to learn about money. We think the way it is taught matters just as much as what is taught. Here is what we do differently.

What you get when you enrol
Singapore-specific content
All three courses are written for the Singapore context. CPF mechanics, MAS regulations, local bond instruments โ nothing is adapted from foreign material.
Small cohorts, real attention
Every cohort is capped at twelve. You are not a face in a crowd โ you can ask questions and receive responses tailored to your circumstances.
Written workbooks included
Each course comes with a printed reference workbook. It accompanies you through the sessions and stays with you long after the cohort ends.
Practitioners, not generalists
Every instructor has worked professionally in the field they teach. Theory is grounded in experience. Examples come from real decisions, not textbook scenarios.
No product sales, ever
Kampong Finance earns nothing from financial product recommendations. Our instructors have no incentive to favour any bank, fund manager, or insurer.
Session recordings available
If you miss a session or want to revisit material, recordings are available to enrolled participants within 24 hours of each live session.
A closer look
Each benefit in more detail
Professional expertise you can verify
Each instructor's background is published on the company page. Siti Rahimah worked as a licensed financial planner for fifteen years. David Tan spent twelve years in fixed income at a Singapore bank. Lee Weiwen has held a CFP designation since 2009. These are not credentials assembled to look credible โ they are the actual foundation for what is taught.
- All instructors have Singapore financial services backgrounds
- Curriculum drawn from lived professional experience
- Questions answered from first-hand knowledge, not scripts
"We do not teach anything we have not done ourselves. That is a constraint we consider a feature, not a limitation."

Tools you leave with
Every course is built around materials participants can use independently after the sessions end. Workbooks, templates, and checklists are written specifically for the Singapore context โ not downloaded from overseas providers and lightly adapted. They are designed to be returned to, not filed away.
Unhurried, considered support
We schedule sessions in the evening and on Saturday mornings to accommodate working participants. Each course includes a weekly question period โ not limited to the subject at hand. If something from the previous week's material raised a question, there is time to ask it properly.
- Evening and Saturday sessions available
- Dedicated Q&A period each session
- Enrolment transfer policy โ life happens
Office hours are available between weekly sessions for participants who want to discuss material in more depth, or who have questions they would prefer to raise privately rather than in the group.

Transparent pricing, nothing hidden
Course fees are fixed and published. They include all materials, portal access where applicable, and session recordings. There are no upsells, no follow-on advisory packages offered at the end, and no referral fees baked into what is taught.
What participants take away
Participants leave each course with a framework for thinking about the relevant subject โ not a set of rules, but a way of asking better questions. The retirement course participant leaves knowing how to think through CPF LIFE election timing. The bond course participant leaves understanding what a yield figure actually means and how duration risk affects their portfolio decisions.

What sets us apart
Features you will not find elsewhere
Complete conflict-of-interest disclosure
We publish how the company earns its revenue โ entirely from course fees โ on our company page. No referral arrangements. No sponsored content within courses.
Cohort transfer, not cancellation
If life intervenes after enrolment, participants can move to the next available cohort at no cost. We do not hold people to cancellation penalties when circumstances genuinely change.
Pre-session question board
Enrolled participants can submit questions ahead of each session. The instructor reviews them in advance, meaning sessions start with responses to real concerns rather than generic material.
Annual curriculum update
Course materials are reviewed against current CPF policy, MAS guidance, and market conditions every year. Participants who re-enrol in later cohorts will find updated content, not the same slides reused.
